I always like to have objectives and challenges in life. I have longer term goals but I also have some for the moment and one of those was in bringing a big event to Hua Hin.
Hua Hin as a region has bags of potential and has been developing every year with wonderful attractions from water parks to International tennis events.
Personally, as a region it has been one of our growth regions for my media group and so, whilst living in Pattaya before, I always had more than just a good eye on it.
Hua Hin has so much potential and a Gala Dinner can help stimulate this growth
More recently I have relocated my family here and one of my early goals was to stage a Gala Dinner with someone of note. It would not only be great for the region but some kind of signal of intent for my media group in terms of the role we want to take on for the region.
Finally, it was agreed with an agent in the UK that it would be ex-Heavyweight Champion of the world Frank Bruno. Frank holds cult like status in the UK and so seemed like a great choice for the costs involved.
But, was the region ready for such an event and could we stimulate the interest to make it a success?
Here is my podcast taken the morning of the event as I put final touches to the plans for the evening.
