My interview with Frank Bruno in Hua Hin

For those of you who don’t know Frank Bruno let me explain briefly why he is so cherished by the British people.

Frank was a British Heavyweight boxer some 25 years ago and fought and lost to some of the best boxers from that generation that included Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Tim Witherspoon. He also became WBC heavyweight champion of the world when he defeated Oliver McCall in September 1995.

Bruno has a very good boxing career with a record of 45 fights, 40 wins of which 38 were by knock-outs. His warm jovial character also meant the Brits took him to their hearts, which they still have to this day.

In a recent trip to Hua Hin for a Gala Dinner I managed to grab a few words with Frank.

Here is the full fight when Frank finally won the Heavyweight crown. He was certainly made to work for it as McCall seemed to get stronger in the later rounds.
