In my years of living in Thailand I have moved around regions and also in the places I choose to base myself.
Hua Hin was nice for a year but a little isolated, but I still don’t want to knock this location – it was a sweet little town. Bangkok was claustrophobic and the traffic too much, but good for business; and so far Pattaya just ticked the most amount of boxes as an expat location. These are just my personal views and unique to what I want from a location, it is not questioning anyone else’s motives for choosing another region.
Increasingly I have become aware of the much quieter, more traditional region of Bangsaray some 25 minutes drive from Pattaya. To keep things transparent it was due to some work I had with Sisaran Group, who build terrific condominiums in this town. Regardless, I have been very impressed with the charm and coastline of Bangsaray.
For that reason, I asked Sisaran if I could stay in one of their condos – Econdo – in the heart of the town to see if I thought my family could live in the region.

PS in this vlog I did not even mention, easy access to Utapao airport, Nong Nooch Gardens, Waterparks and Ocean Marina!
