For those that don’t know, a ‘dark red’ status in Thailand is for provinces with the worst cases of Covid and requiring the toughest restrictions. Chonburi – which Pattaya is part of – fell into that classification from 19th July 2021.
From this point on wards cases of Covid has continued to increase in Thailand. At time of reporting – 26th July – Thailand reported 15,376 cases.
Here is my report on what it was like in Pattaya on the first day of these toughest restrictions being implemented.
