It has been an extraordinary few years across the world with Covid devastating the tourism industry, which had a huge impact on Thailand. There are now a few clues left as to what we all had to live through as I find old face masks in my bags and cars glove compartment and 711 stores still have their redundant temperature check machines upon entrance (strangely I do see some people still use).
Now we have turned a corner and the outlook for tourism is vastly improved. During the last year I have seen many changes to Pattaya and now see a city ready and stronger to grow as we enter 2023, but what kind of recovery can we expect?
