Thailand never fails to impress when it comes to its coastline. It is blessed with multiple world class beach destinations but the Similan Islands in the Andaman sea could just be the best yet.
Having visited the majority of islands on Thailand a few really stand out as exceptional, with possibly Koh Tao and neighbouring Nangyuan being the pick of the bunch. However the Similan Islands are without question up there with the best too.
The view point on ‘Sail point’ as it is known is a once in a lifetime experience and being near 6 other islands you can make a full day of island hopping.
You can get the islands off the East coast of Phang Nga and it take a good hour and fifteen minutes to get there by speed boat. Do also be aware that the Similan islands are only open between October and May due to rough seas.
