What was supposed to be an amazing week, in which a much-cherished British boxing legend joined me on a four-leg tour across Thailand for a series of gala dinners, was turned on its head when Frank fell ill on the flight over.
It was a bitter pill to swallow, as so much effort had gone into organizing the events—over 350 confirmed attendees and significant money spent—all while being deeply concerned for Frank’s health. It turned into a very tough week, but the show must go on, and we live and learn.
What surprised me was the overwhelmingly positive response and kind words from the expat community following the cancellation. I am truly humbled and re-energized by the kindness of people in a time of need.
