OK so using the term ‘castaway’ may be stretching the truth, but for one moment today I did feel a bit like Tom Hanks from the ‘Castaway’ movie. My wife and I were up at 530am this morning and the challenge was to kayak to a fairly nearby island 3km away from us off Koh Chang.
It was dark and there were a few fishing boat lights I could see out to sea, I was looking forward to our trip and also spot of exercise from the kayaking. Within 30-minutes the sky was light and we were by then well on our way to the remote island.
I feel so much more content being among nature than a busy Sukhumvit road in Pattaya or Bangkok. For me, nothing beats wearing only a pair of swimming shorts and being on an island like Koh Chang.
