A move to Thailand is certainly not right for everyone — especially when it involves relocating your entire family. It’s not easy to work legally here, and you’ll also need to make sure you have the correct visas, to begin with.
I don’t want to meddle, but I do want to respond to the many, many messages I receive from people across the Western world expressing their discontent with where they live — particularly from the UK. It would be foolish to pretend that all is well right now in my home country.
My aim with this post is simply to encourage everyone to seriously consider what’s best for themselves and their families. Of course, some options may seem impossible, especially if you have extended family nearby — but don’t let that become an excuse for not doing what’s right for your children.
Don’t act on impulse — have a plan — but be aware of the scope of opportunity available to you and your family. Your life doesn’t have to be confined to where you are now. If you’re not happy, do something about it.
