I have only visited Koh Tao once but really loved it for both it’s stunning beaches and remoteness from other islands. If you love scuba diving then this is world class and offers an abundance of boat excursions to explore the corals and fishes.
The island is also very popular with backpackers and as such there is plenty of nightlife, restaurants and bars.
There are daily ferries to this island from both the islands of Phangan and Samui or from mainland at either Chumphon or Surat Thani. It is advisable to book in high season as the ferries can be very busy.
If you can ride a motorbike then this island is made for this kind of exploration and public transport is not in mass supply apart of the main area around the pier. This island is most suitable for single and couples rather than families therefore, but that is just my opinion.
In this vlog I was just passing through from Koh Phangan to Chumpon as the ferries stop off enroute – but I could not resist jumping on deck to grab some footage of this charming little island.
