By and large I am a bit disappointed when it comes to getting decent food and drink around Khao San Road. It tends to be over priced (as it’s a tourist area) and a below par meal.
This is why I want everyone to know about the Soi (‘street’) next to Khao San Road called Soi Ram Buttri and a venue called ‘Alley Cat Restaurant’.
It offers excellent Thai and Western dishes all great quality and at expat – not tourist – prices. Furthermore they offer a decent selection of drinks that includes craft beer.
