My kids have got into fishing after enjoying some sea fishing off a pier in Koh Chang and so I had promised to take them lake fishing in Pattaya. So one Saturday late afternoon we visited The Chill Lake Side in East Pattaya.
Although I am not a fisherman myself I do get the appeal. A chance to relax in the outdoors away from everything, perhaps with some food and drink, and just fish.
The lakes we visited had two lake options, one where you could even keep the fish you caught (first kilogram free and included as part of the 100 THB fishing fee) whereas the other lake had many more varieties and you could not keep the fish (this was 400 THB for a day fishing pass).
It was certainly an enjoyable afternoon and my kid’s really did love it. Just one of many activities to enjoy living in Thailand without having to break the bank.
