Over the last decade the Soi Baukhao region of Pattaya has ballooned with hundreds of beer bars, ago-gos and food joints. It is huge.
It is most popular with the older Westerner, both tourist and expat. The whole subject of bar girls comes up as a discussion point whenever I mention this region and I am torn as to what opinion to have on this subject, so will just remain neutral and have no stance as there are arguments on both sides.
Is Soi Baukhao fun? Sure, with so many bars within strolling distance it is hard not to enjoy yourself.
