Nestled high in the hills of Koh Samui, Tarnim’s Magic Garden offers a mystical escape from the island’s bustling beaches. Also known as the Secret Buddha Garden, this hidden gem was created in 1976 by Nim Thongsuk, a local farmer, who transformed his family land into a serene sanctuary filled with intricate statues and lush greenery. The garden is a blend of art and spirituality, featuring hand-carved sculptures of Buddhist figures, animals, and scenes from Thai folklore. Surrounded by the sounds of flowing water and birdsong, the garden feels like stepping into a fairy tale, providing a unique cultural and natural experience for visitors.

I enjoyed exploring this attraction, including the ascent by car up the southern Samui hills to get to it – my ears even popped!
