I have always liked Koh Chang ever since I first visited it over a decade ago and more recently I have been spending more time on the island setting up a TV channel. I often pinch myself that my work takes me to such beautiful location – really I am living the dream aren’t I?
Koh Chang is a good 4 hour drive from Pattaya or Bangkok and is located in Trat near the Cambodian border. Being such a drive from the International airport is so far protecting it from the Chinese mass tourist that Thailand is now seeing, and that is good news for others.
I was back in Koh Chang last month (October) and although some days saw rain showers it was on the whole hot and sunny. One of my two favourite locations on the island are Siam Royal Bay (previously Siam Royal View) for its luxurious lifestyle offer and then Kae Bae for its charming eateries. Both locations I have featured in my vlog below, along with some exciting footage of the roads on the island!
