Koh Larn is just a 30-minute ferry ride from Bali Hai Pier in Pattaya. There’s no need to book — simply turn up, walk to the end of the pier, and hop on the next ferry.
There are two main arrival points on the island: Na Baan Pier and Tawaen Beach Pier.
Tawaen Beach Pier is where most day-trippers arrive, as it drops you straight onto the island’s largest and busiest beach — perfect if you want instant access to sunbeds, restaurants, and water activities.
I chose to arrive at Na Baan Pier, which feels more local and less crowded. From there, I checked into Suntosa Resort, just 150 metres from the pier, and rented a motorbike for 300 THB per day — the best way to explore the island properly.
And that’s where Koh Larn really stands out.
It offers far more than most people expect, with multiple beaches around the island, each with its own character, clear water, and great spots for swimming and relaxing.
