For a relative newbie Bangkok can be a huge labyrinth and the true opportunity to explore and discover never properly actualised. For me it has taken some time but I now feel I am getting on top of this huge capital city.
Bangkok really does offer you everything you want. In Sukhumvit Soi 23, incidentally a very pleasant Soi if you fancy a lively evening out, is a cigar lounge by the name of Whisgars.
It is located within a very cool complex that includes a craft beer terrace – offering over 40 draft beer choices – and a Mexican restaurant. It was at Whisgars that I got to see my first World Cigar Smoking Championship – Yes smoking cigars can be competitive; who would have guessed.
