Help does seem to be at hand and ones of those comes in the way of Thai food courts as the costs can be very good. Now I am not suggesting you need to go native and eat in the traditional Thai markets where the quality can be suspect, but you can find markets catering for foreigners too.
In Pattaya you have a very decent nightly food market in Soi 6 on Pratamanak or Rompo market in Jomtien, whilst in Hua Hin on Soi 88 you have a very decent food market – that even boasts live music every night!
