Pattaya has got a bad reputation when it comes to its nightlife and to be fair some of this has some merit. But these people just don’t know the full offer. For if you travel high up onto the rooftops of many hotels you will find an environment more akin to Bangkok.
It was my wife’s birthday and so a few friends and myself headed to the Hilton rooftop for a few celebratory cocktails. Of course I could not resist the opportunity to do a quick vlog; my wife is very tolerant of my hobby and more often than not I even get her to hold my camera. This time round I gave her a break, it was her birthday after all.
I must say, if you want to impress someone, bring them to this rooftop for the sunset. It is a very chilled out vibe and the views are just stunning. I have been here a few times now and each time it puts me in a good mood.
We just went for the happy hour cocktails but you can eat there too, if you eat you get the better tables for improved views.
What other Rooftop Bars are in Pattaya?
There are three other good rooftop bars at hotels that I have visited in addition to the Hilton. Siam@Siam Design Hotel on Second Road has awesome views of the Pattaya Bay. The Holiday Inn a much smaller rooftop on its second tower, it goes under the radar in terms of people knowing about it, but its wonderful and often with a DJ in the evening too. Finally there is Hotel Baraquda on second road next to the Avenue shopping centre. What makes this view so good is its a sweep of the town rather than just the Pattaya Bay.
And there was people thinking Pattaya nightlife was just beer bars and ago-go’s.
