It really would take a lot for another airport to take the accolade away from Samui Airport as the cutest airport in the world – Even the toilets are charming!
The departure lounge is nothing like a traditional airport and you are out in the elements and even have a quaint garden area to relax in why waiting for your plane – and you are literally right alongside the runway.
Transport to and from the planes are cute little vehicles and nothing like the coaches used in other airports around the world.
The airport really complements the overall charm of Koh Samui.

Cutest? Not really so much these days – if you had been there 20 years ago I would have agreed. They are now just trading on their old reputation.
Since they redesigned and separated the arrivals access with great big boards etc ., the place has lost a lot of it’s old appeal which was designed to give you impression your were landing on a tropical paradise.
The addition of dozens of flights and jet aircraft has meant that designs to help with all the extra passengers has lef the airport a shadow of its former self.
