Old news dude I turned it off after less than two minutes. But next time if you can share something that we don’t already know feel free ????????. I watched one of your blogs last year where you speculated about the new immigration process and you were wrong this is exactly what I always knew would happen and I’ve been preparing for it. Personally I use the monthly income option in a Thai bank account something you once predicted would go away I’m on a monthly pension. People keep talking about how “the goal post has been moved” and how the sky is just falling online. None of the rules have changed they just eliminated the income affidavits the monthly income requirement is still the same and so is the money saved in the bank option for marriage and retirement extensions, now the only difference is that we actually have to show proof of the funds being transferred into a Thai bank account every month or your savings in a Thai bank account. If I were not on a monthly pension and if I didn’t make almost 200,000 Baht a month I would not be retired here because there’s no way I’d ever put 400K or 800K Baht into a Thai bank account and let them tell me when I’m allowed to spend it that’s just dumb. I think Immigration is trying to encourage more monthly pensioners like me because they are making it tougher for people who use the 800K Baht in a Thai bank method on retirement visas.
The last time I watched one of your blogs you did get a few things right such as saying that immigration closed a loop hole when they caused the Embassies to stop providing the income affidavits. Personally I like the new rules it saves me a trip down to the Embassy in Bangkok every year when I do my annual extensions, for me the new rules actually make it easier.
I’m just glad that we are now aware of the new rules so all of the speculators and bloggers online who enjoy the sound of their own voices can finally shut up about it. I remember when everyone was speculating and scare mongering late last year of 2018 when the changes were first beginning I told everyone that this would be the new process for the extension financial requirements. I knew because I know people at the Embassy who actually gave me a straight answer as far back as October. Now I get to say I told you so.
I have 800,000 in an interest bearing account. There is no reason why the account cannot give interest. As long as the money is available for immediate withdrawal.
No way will I have this. Been here legally over 11 years. More than enough to live here. I do not understand. I am told must have it in a bank. I am now very, very sick. You might remember me, my daugheter recently passed away, what next. I now have a rare skin disease. I do not want to leave. I will not have that kind of money.
You are wrong see it one way..
