Koh Samet was the very first Thailand island I experienced and it was magical from the ferry journey over to the island to the BBQ on the beach whilst watching a fire show. It has developed a lot over the years and is far more built up and busy – but it is still very beautiful.
The islands proximity to Bangkok makes it popular on weekends with the locals and is also just 73km from Pattaya and so attracts many tourists from this region also.
