There are some days I wake up not feeling a zest for life, it could be through exhaustion or just waking up on the wrong side of the bed, but I get these days as I assume many of us do.

When I worked at Coca-Cola, as a young executive, the company gave me a mentor who I spent time with each month and he once said “It is the days when you don’t feel like doing anything that separate the winners from the losers”, and that has stuck with me throughout the years to this day. We cannot always wake up feeling great, but we must control the outcome to that day to the best of our ability.

But it is more than just forcing yourself to get on and achieve something and I have always admired a fellow Expat, Barry Upton, for always having this zest and enthusiasm for life everyday. It is very inspiring.

So much so that I wanted to interview him and find out how he does it and also to share the message with others. I hope you enjoy!
