What is normally one of the busiest periods in Pattaya during Xmas is sadly a shadow of its former self as the world continues to struggle with Covid.
Having now experienced such an empty central Pattaya, even on most weekends, it has become normal (unfortunately the term ‘new normal’ is very apt). I cannot remember what it is like to be stuck in traffic in this city anymore. When my family and I go out to eat anywhere near Pattaya Beach Road we can park the car on the road with ease. Unheard of in pre-covid times.
So as the town prepares itself for Christmas it does so knowing it will be very different this year.
