It can be a drain on your time and plenty of photocopying documents, but it is relatively easy to get both a Thai driving licence and bank account – even on a tourist visa.
Personally, just to cut the hassle factor, I use an agency for my driving licence renewal as it is not a pleasant experience in my humble opinion.
