This place is only open for a short time each year — just two months, to be precise.
High on Khao Khitchakut, around 1,000 metres above sea level, you’ll find the Buddha’s Footprint.
People make this journey for many reasons: belief, reflection, curiosity.
Some come with prayers, some with questions, some simply to experience it for themselves.
I’m not religious, but this journey made me stop and think.
The climb, the silence, the effort — it all strips things back a bit.
Standing up there, you realise how powerful intention can be.
Not in a mystical way — but in the sense that when you decide to do something difficult, you show yourself what you’re capable of.
Maybe that’s why places like this matter.
They force you to slow down, look inward, and disconnect from the noise below.
Sometimes it’s not about faith.
It’s about intention — and what you choose to carry back down the mountain with you.
Let Dan know where you need help and he will send you recommendations and help you get set up
