My wife and I have been locked in much debate over where best to raise our two kids, more so as they approached schooling age. After much discussion we agreed that Thailand offers more than a return back to the UK, and I breathe a big sigh of relief as a return to the UK was not really filling me with joy.
I actually think the whole debate was very healthy and useful as it was a chance to reflect on our life in general. It got very philosophical in the end.
Choosing what is best for our kids is important but also what is best for our family and what would make us the most happy and content. Location and lifestyle certainly are important to this, but so is our overall perception and approach to life.
