Pattaya has certainly come a long way over the last two decades and is now much more family friendly. Terminal 21 shopping centre is a bit like an entertainment complex more than just your traditional shopping mall and as such I often take my kids there if looking for something to do. Just head to the ground floor under the Eiffel Tower and more often than not there is an event or activity for your children to enjoy.
On this visit, my kids ended up treasure hunting in a large sand pit!
