It seems a very distant memory to even contemplate Pattaya Walking Street being shoulder to shoulder with party goers and tourists. That said there are signs that the bars and clubs are ready to fight back and many are now re-opening.
It is now almost 2 years since the pandemic hit Thailand – April 2020 – and what proceeded were extraordinary times not only globally but here in Pattaya. The town has never been so quiet. The normally grid lock Beach Road and Second Road have been empty and even parking on the road was a breeze (who would have thought that!).
Whilst the party location of Soi LK started its recovery many months ago with the return of many International visitors desperate to get back to Pattaya, now Pattaya Walking Street sets about an attempt to return to some form of resemblance of its former self.
