I spent 3-months locked down during Covid on Koh Chang and it was some of my happiest memories of living in Thailand. It is a beautiful, peaceful island that just keeps on giving the more you invest time into exploring it.
Altitude 79 viewpoint cafe, deep into the more quiet East side of the island, is a case in point. The drive to it was somewhat Phangan in style and the views Koh Changs answer to the miracle, jaw dropping views found in Phangna.
As if the views were not magical enough, I was lucky enough to see a rainbow and eagle as I sat looking out onto the horizon whilst enjoying my hot coffee.
