It was an absolute pleasure to interview Sarah, a fellow Pattaya expat, who is now residing in Bali so she can be near her family in Thailand following her deportation due to an overstay on her visa.
Sarah was diagnosed with terminal cancer in February this year and just forgot about her visa – which was an Elite visa. The visa did not expire, she just did not leave the country as an annual obligation, and this meant a 99 day overstay.
Do listen to her story and let it act as a reminder – do not let your visa expire as the consequences are very real.
