There is a side to Pattaya that for me, as an Expat living here, goes under the radar: The red light district. Some may not sit comfortably with calling it that but the neon lit nightlife district around Soi Baukhao is just that.
However, I don’t have an issue with it and would even go for a drink in this area with my wife. It is very friendly and full of energy.
Soi Pothole has always offered places to drink but only in recent times has it started to flourish as a go to location to party.
