When you first move to Thailand everything will be new and it is all to easy to latch on to some of the first, fellow expat people you meet – this can be dangerous if not careful. You have no idea of their background or finances. Just be careful.
Everyone will have advice and be all to eager to here about your financial situation. Keep it under wraps.
The best policy, having watched many expats come and go, is to take the position of trusting no one for the first year – and especially this applies if you get a girlfriend who worked the bars.
