Looking in from the outside, it would be easy to assume working expats have the best of life; but for every gorgeous beach or glorious sunshine there is the need to work hard to sustain a decent quality of life.
Sure, many fellow expats will dismiss this and claim they get by on a small budget but, for me, it is narrow minded. Firstly, is their lifestyle one to aspire too and secondly what would the future hold for them if they run into an issue that needed a quick cash fix. I saw first hand the devastation of Covid with many working expats left out to dry.
I know 2 in Pattaya alone that commit suicide as a result.
My message is one of sustainability and planning for tomorrow, whilst it is also one about making sure the lifestyle you have in Thailand is wonderful.
