Quite often as a child I was reminded to think of others and not be so selfish, but actually one act of selfishness allowed me to make my dream move to Thailand. And I never looked back.
I get the fact we need to support and show compassion for other fellow human beings, especially our loved ones, but when does too much restraint and compromise stop us doing what we want?
There is an equally compelling case to suggest we should become a bit more selfish in looking out for our best interests if we are to actualise our best possible life. If I listen to my peer pressure back in the UK I may very well have not relocated to Thailand, they did not want me to leave.
