Podcast: First impressions direct from Koh Tao beach

It was some journey getting to Koh Tao from Hua Hin in Thailand that involved a three and half hour drive south and then a 1 hour 45 minute catamaran. After checking into our resort my family and I took a stroll along the nearest beach to acclimatize and relax.

First impressions were very promising (although I must say the next day after this podcast it just got better and better as we went off exploring the island on motorbike). The place is seriously awesome and I have visited a good half dozen other islands in Thailand already and it more than holds its own as one of the finest.

One observation, living in Hua Hin I am, on the whole, surrounded by a much older expat so when on a younger tourist island like Koh Tao I did start to feel every bit my 43 year old age – where did all those years go!?
