OK I get it, if you are on holiday in Bangkok you should probably go and check out Khao San Road. It has an energy about it that on balance makes it worth the trip to see. But personally, I much prefer the Soi just opposite it – Soi Ram Brutti.
The Soi has a European style about it and I found an absolute gem of a restaurant and bar there too by the name of Alley Cat Restaurant. So my tip is go and take a walk down Khao San Road but then when you want some food or drink, walk over to Soi Ram Brutti and visit Alley Cat Restaurant.
Alley Cat Restaurant is located in a tourist location, without question, yet serves up quality Thai and foreign dishes at Expat prices. I also liked the beer – as they had a selection of craft beers – which is not that common to find. Anyway, I liked it so much a did a vlog on the place!
